The propaganda film, 1944

A frame from the propaganda film portraying a scene at the ghetto library. On the left is Desider Friedmann, an attorney by profession who managed the bank in the ghetto. In addition, he served as the representative of Austrian Jewry on the ghetto’s Council of Elders. Friedmann perished in Auschwitz in 1944.
