Beit Theresienstadt recently launched an important new project – “Kaddish Oriya and Ghetto Terezin” in memory of Oriya Ricardo, who was murdered on October 7, and in memory of the composers from the Theresienstadt Ghetto.

The bereaved mother, Hannie Ricardo, a singer and voice teacher, has researched and commemorated the composers and music from Ghetto Theresienstadt for many years. Hannie composed music to the text of the ancient Jewish memorial prayer, “Kaddish,” incorporating excerpts from pieces by composers from Ghetto Theresienstadt. After October 7, she added an entire section dedicated to her daughter, Oriya z”l. The concert is dedicated to all victims of the Nova Festival.
