Biography of Czech composer Pavel Haas (Brno, 1899 – Auschwitz Birkenau, 1944). In December 1941 Haas was deported to Ghetto Theresienstadt, where he continued to compose. His music was performed by inmates. In October 1944 he was deported to Auschwitz, and he was probably murdered in the gas chambers a short while after his arrival.
