The A-Z Album contains works by members of the Labor Center, all close associates of Jakob Edelstein (the first Jewish Elder of Ghetto Theresienstadt) who arrived at Theresienstadt with him on 4 December 1941. They were all young, members of the Zionist movement and of “Hehalutz”.

The main topic of the album is establishing the Labor Center, the deliberations that accompanied its foundation and its operation, development, and status within the ghetto’s self-administration under Nazi rule and as seen by Jakob Edelstein.

The original album was donated to the Beit Theresienstadt archives by Dr. Edith Orenstein in 1985.
